I am a woman, a wife, a mother of three, an interpreter, a soul on an adventure. An Italian married to a Brit, currently living in Italy, I experience everyday a constant state of culture shock as I never quite feel at home with the Italian mammas, (don’t cover them up in wool to their eyes, don’t shout “STAI ATTENTO!!! at the playground every two seconds) my kids speak more English than Brianzolo (the cryptic dialect of leafy Monza, just outside Milan)…and yet hubby says I shout even when I think I’m whispering. But I would not like it any other way. Viva l’Italia!
